A Simple Blue and Purple Color Scheme

purples and blues color scheme

One common complaint I hear from people who are just getting started with adult coloring books is that they have to have 100 or more different colors to make anything pretty. Of course, this is complete nonsense. Think back to how much fun you had coloring with a 24 count box of Crayolas as a kid. You don’t need a bunch of different colors to enjoy yourself.

I love my 24-count Prismacolor Premier Soft Core Colored Pencils. I’ve been thinking about getting a larger set, but I like that the case for these is small enough to easily slip into a bag and that I can’t waste time trying to figure out which colors to use. Sometimes, limits can be freeing.
