Use Stickers to Make DIY Party Balloons

I don’t know about you, but I’ve always loved balloons! When I was a kid, one of my favorite things besides coloring was going to a local store that gave away free balloons to customers.

If you love balloons as much as I do, you’ll be happy to hear that Balloon Time offers helium tank party kits you can use to create festive balloon displays from the comfort of your own home. These kits are perfect for birthday parties, graduation celebrations, baby showers, family reunions, or everyday entertaining. The kit includes a nonrefillable helium tank, balloons in assorted colors, and white curling ribbon to create your bouquet.

I picked up my kit from Walmart, but Balloon Time products are also in party supply stores as well as online through Amazon.com. There are several different sizes so you can get one that best matches the number of balloons you need. (The kit I purchased was designed for 30 balloons.)

The Balloon Time tank is fairly easy to use, although the knob to inflate my balloons was initially so tight that I my husband had to loosen it with a pair of pliers. Once I inflated my balloons, I decorated them with custom colored stickers from the Color Your Own Stickers: Inspirations book by Valentina Harper and tied them to my basket of markers so I’d have a cute little table decoration when my nieces came over to color with me.

I was pretty happy with how my project turned out, although you need to keep in mind that using too big of stickers on your balloons will create ugly bumps in the paper. Choose small to mid-sized designs for best results.  I think Color Your Own Stickers: Letters & Numbers by Peg Couch would be ideal for making personalized party balloons.
