Coloring books for adults are making waves in a big way, as evidenced by a recent article in Entertainment Weekly.
One interesting insight from this article was from art therapist Linda Turner. She says, “In terms of our artistic and creative abilities, we grow until we’re 11 or 12 years old. And then, unless you keep going with it, you stop. In American society, we don’t really have a focus on the arts.”
In a small way, coloring lets busy adults recreate that childlike inventiveness.
